Launched with Microsoft, the UAE initiative enables people to create website and app prototypes using artificial intelligence without prior coding experience.
The UAE Artificial Intelligence Office has launched UAE Vibe Codes, an initiative developed in collaboration with Microsoft that enables individuals to build websites and digital application prototypes using artificial intelligence without prior programming experience. Launched on October 29, 2026, as part of UAE Codes Day, the initiative attracted 5,000 participants within its first hour, highlighting growing interest in accessible AI-powered development tools.
How UAE Vibe Codes Works
The initiative introduces participants to “Vibe Coding”, an approach to software development that uses natural-language instructions rather than traditional programming methods.
Users describe their ideas and requirements in everyday language, allowing AI tools to generate initial website or application prototypes that can be tested, modified and improved.
Through the initiative’s online platform, participants can explore this process and create digital solutions within minutes.
New Opportunities for Entrepreneurs and Students
UAE Vibe Codes is designed for students, educators, entrepreneurs, startup founders and employees across government and private-sector organisations.
Participants can experiment with building websites to address workplace challenges, developing applications for daily task management or creating digital tools to support emerging businesses.
By making software prototyping more accessible, the initiative offers individuals and small businesses an opportunity to explore digital ideas before committing to more advanced development.
Supporting the UAE’s AI-Driven Digital Economy
Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, emphasised the importance of enabling wider participation in technological innovation and empowering individuals to transform their ideas into practical solutions.
As part of UAE Codes Day, the Artificial Intelligence Office is also organising practical workshops with Google, IBM, Siemens and Emirates Global Aluminium to introduce participants to AI-powered development tools.
The initiative complements the UAE’s broader efforts to develop an AI-driven economy, extending access to digital innovation beyond specialist developers and technology companies.
By connecting everyday ideas with accessible AI tools, UAE Vibe Codes aims to strengthen digital skills, encourage entrepreneurship and support wider participation in the country’s growing technology sector.
